Although I am not the biggest fan of work boots, I do believe that Thorogood’s Horsehide No. 685 Boot is a steal. Goodyear welt? Check. Horween horsehide? You got it. Cork sole that can take a beating? Sure. Aside from aesthetics, which is (almost) entirely subjective and personal, Red Wing’s got nothing on these bad boys. Just understand that once they hit the concrete, you will be obliged to drink Bud Heavy, smoke Marlboro Reds and watch Nascar for the rest of your life.
