im looking to buy a pair of loafers to wear casually, any recommendations? thanks in advance

I am assuming that you want a season appropriate answer, so at $280, the APC suede calfskins are a steal compared to the overpriced pieces being pumped out by Car Shoe and Tod’s. The Leffot Disco Penny is also another solid option that will keep you fresh throughout the summertime.

This dude is basically a walking abortion, but I would like to point out one thing here that drives me absolutely bat shit crazy every time I see it. And let’s face it, we all see it. You know, that guy that hops up off the train with his attaché or messenger bag slovenly thrown over his suit jacket. What an absolute disaster.
It’s not very apparent from the above photo, thank God, but out in the wild, it gets real gnarly at times—the strap pulls so hard on the jacket it looks like the wearer is trying to undress himself without using his hands. Do these people look at themselves? Are they not fraught with repulsion at the sight of wrinkles so deep and intense that it looks like they’ve had a map of silk trade routes impressed on their jackets’ arms, shoulders and backs? You don’t need to be a #menswear style blogger to realize this whole phenomenon is absolutely ridiculous.
The corporate move to business casual in the ’90s was simply the death blow to an already deteriorated sense of style among American men. Without empirical evidence it is tough to state with any degree of certainty, but I would guess that the ratio of men in Europe (fuck it, the rest of the world) being undressed by their own attaché or messenger bag is incredibly lower than that of Americans. I bet if one could produce some statistics it would read like a violent crime comparison between Baltimore and Bel Air.
