    Criss-crossing laces on a pair of oxfords is the shoe-tying equivalent of playing center field with a catcher’s mitt.  Not only is it clumsy, but pretty much everyone who sees you will notice that there’s something slightly off about your appearance.

  3. What is your opinion on sporting Danner boots or similar in a city like NY?

             

    I know Lawrence had the internet going nuts over hiking boots the other day, but I just can’t cosign.  Even though the above-pictured Feit x Park and Bonds are—and I say this objectively—really, really, really ridiculously good looking, I can think of 10 different types of boots that I’d rather have in my closet before I went all Cliffhanger and copped those bad boys.  So unless by “city like NY” you mean Denver or Interlaken, #nosign.
